11 September 2009 could be the date on which the Ferrari will confirm Fernando Alonso as his pilot for the next five seasons. According to Spanish newspaper AS, this deal would be confirmed officially on Grand Prix of Italy, at Monza. Same source says that Ferrari has not yet decided which of the two current drivers, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen, will be discharged to make room for Alonso, currently driver of Renault.
Another roumor says that Ferrari intends to make big party at the end of the season in Valencia, not only to welcome to Alonso, but also to present its new sponsor for 2010, the Spanish bank Santander. Alonso could be the "surprise guest" of the event, but would use casual clothes, since his contract with the French house expire until December.
