RED BULL DOMINANT AT HOME RACE FOR HONDA

Max Verstappen won the Japanese Grand Prix for the third consecutive year, scoring his 57th career victory and third this season.

Sergio Perez finished second, his 38th podium, securing Red Bull's 31st double win. Carlos Sainz Jr. climbed to the third step of the podium.

In two weeks, the fight will continue in China, where the first weekend in sprint format for this 2024 season awaits us.
Red Bull, after a low run in Melbourne, responded with a dominant double win at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen dominated the race in Suzuka, but Sergio Perez easily managed to beat his former rivals for a comfortable second place.

Carlos Sainz Jr. was again the best of the rest and climbed to the last step of the victory podium, ahead of Charles Leclerc who managed to complete the race with only one pit stop.

Ferrari is unusually "gentle" towards Pirelli's tires, but the impression remains that a strategy with two pit stops for Leclerc was a better option for today's race.

Fernando Alonso, sixth after another great race. We had a show at Albert Park because of Max's dnf, but in Suzuka, the home of Honda and which is usually "Red Bull territory" there was no doubt who would be the winner.
Verstappen, in a race that was red flagged in the first lap, due to the incident of Daniel Ricciardo and Alex Albon, won with the fastest lap included and with a 12-second gap ahead of Perez and 20 seconds ahead of Sainz Jr..

The Spaniard in the Ferrari team, who by the way is still out of work for next season, had a very good pace and was eight seconds behind the Mexican.

Not only did Ferrari confirm themselves as the second fastest team, with Charles Leclerc finishing fourth, but the Monegasque driver implemented a one-stop strategy after the red flag and was able to stay on the track for a long time on the starting yellow tyres, significantly longer than any other driver.
SF-24 treats the tires extremely gently, but in this race this tuning of the cars cost them a lower grid position, but, points are scored in the race. Ferrari finally figured it out!

Lando Norris had to settle for fifth, and Fernando Alonso, after another great defensive race and battles with Oscar Piastre and the Mercedes AMG drivers, took a well-deserved sixth, while Lance Stroll failed to score a single point.

They were followed by George Russell, who in this race finally made a successful overtake in the last lap, passing Oscar Piastri for seventh place. Lewis Hamilton and Yuki Tsunoda, who performed well at home race, completed the list of points winners.
