MAX SCORED HIS FIRST POLE ON JEDDAH STREET CIRCUIT

Max Verstappen was the fastest driver in qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and scored his 34th Formula 1 Pole, his first at the Jeddah street circuit.

Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez in this case were three tenths behind, and fourth was Fernando Alonso, only 55 thousandths behind P2!

We saw an interesting battle, until Verstappen set an incredible lap of 1:27.472 in the first attempt in Q3. In fact, his lap was so good that he didn't even need to improve in his last attempt to secure the top position.

Leclerc, Perez and Alonso tried to beat him, but they were powerless... The man from Monaco did an excellent second fast lap and was second, the Mexican stayed close to him, but not enough to be on the front row.

The latter will be accompanied by Fernando Alonso, who secured the fourth fastest time with his Aston Martin.

Right behind the Spaniard will be the drivers of McLaren and Mercedes AMG. Followed by Yuki Tsunoda and Lance Stroll, who was seven tenths behind his teammate.

Let's remind that Carlos Sainz Jr. he was unable to compete for the rest of the weekend due to an inflamed appendix, and was replaced by Oliver Berman, who was eleventh.
