MAX ERRORLESS, NANDO LOST POLE

Max Verstappen did not want to "slow down" in the last qualifying of the 2023 season driven at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, scoring his 32nd pole position in Formula 1.

The Dutchman beat Charles Leclerc by one tenth and Oscar Piastre by three tenths. Lewis Hamilton crashed out in Q2, Carlos Sainz Jr. in the Q1 session.

We saw interesting classifications and suspense until the very finish. Yes, Verstappen had the fastest time, but only a tenth of a second from Charles Leclerc, while Lando Norris looked very strong but lost everything in the final sector of his final fast lap.

Mercedes AMG, McLaren and Ferrari appear to be at a very similar level of performance, while Red Bull is further ahead and clear favorite to win tomorrow's race.
