DEBUT WIN FOR GEORGE RUSSELL, NERVOUS MAX TREATED FRUSTRATIONS THE WRONG WAY

George Russell made it to the list of winners in the Formula 1 Championship with a masterful race for the Grand Prix of Sao Paulo.

The Briton dominated the race from start to finish, without hesitation and without losing his cool in delicate moments, and took the long-awaited victory for Mercedes AMG, which Lewis Hamilton made to make it a double.

Carlos Sainz Jr. was third, ahead of Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso after a great comeback to fifth.
George Russell hinted at yesterday's sprint that he has what it takes to succeed in the highest category of motorsport, and already today he confirmed it with a perfectly driven race.

A good start, keeping a constant and fast pace, good tire management, the fastest lap in the race and all this complemented by mental stability in complicated situations, especially after the safety car came out.

Today, George Russell and Mercedes AMG had no competition. Not only did the young Briton have a very good race pace, but also Lewis Hamilton who had to make a comeback after contact with Max Verstappen at the start of the race, but again managed to seal the double victory for his team.

The dice also stacked up for Carlos Sainz Jr. who was third and returned to the podium at Interlagos. Finishing behind him was Charles Leclerc, who also had contact with Lando Norris in the early part of the race.

Fernando Alonso is the next driver who had a sensational run from P17 to P5, accompanied by a disastrous pit stop. Max Verstappen with his damaged car was sixth, ahead of Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Valtteri Bottas and Lance Stroll.
The Champion had an unnecessary public outburst of frustration not giving position to his teammate, one of the most controversial moments that would leave a big stain on his astonishing career.

The team asked him to help Checo in the fight for second place in the driver's standings, but the Dutchman refused, explaining that he "had his own reasons" (he found out that Checo had crashed on purpose in Monaco).

At the end of the race, Horner met with Verstappen to discuss the situation and his reasons.

"We talked with the team, we had to clean up the environment because of some things that happened, that's the reason why I didn't let him pass. We also talked about the future, in Abu Dhabi I will help him, if that's necessary," said Verstappen.

When it took so little to calm down, why, but why did he get so angry in public. Sergio Perez has seemingly lost second overall but, with one race to go, is in third on the same points as Charles Leclerc.
