A NEW CHAMPION IN THE RAIKKONEN FAMILY?!?

Seven-year-old Robin Raikkonen raced behind the wheel of a go-kart for the first time this weekend and immediately showed the talent for speed that made his father famous.

Kimi Raikkonen started teaching his son the art of driving these little machines a long time ago, giving his son his first go-kart when Robin was just four years old.

The boy drove on karting tracks in Switzerland, Italy and Finland, and now the family of the 2007 F1 champion decided it was time for Robin to compete.

Kimi and his wife Mintu are not releasing details about the race, but apparently it took place somewhere in Italy, and Robin took part in the race along with dozens of boys and girls his age or slightly older.

The debut was quite successful, Robin climbed the podium, after which the family proudly announced:

"This is the first race of many to come! Mom and Dad are proud of you, Ace!"

Ace is Robin's middle name, which, of course, goes along with Iceman, Kimmy's own nickname. It seems that the family collection of sports trophies in his house will soon be replenished with new trophies.
