2020 EIFEL GP: FP1 CANCELLED

It was cold and cloudy at the Nürburgring on Friday morning. Fog covered the track. If necessary, the medical helicopter could not fly to the nearest hospital, the weather there was even worse, and it took too long to travel by road and the beginning of the session, as always happens in such situations, was postponed.

The stopwatch was counting down the time, but the red light at the exit from the pit lane prohibited leaving the pits. First, the session was postponed for half an hour, then for another half hour, and in the end it was cancelled.

The two best drivers of the current Formula 2 season, members of the Ferrari Driver Academy, Mick Schumacher and Callum Ilott, had to work out their first training session behind the wheel of Alfa Romeo and Haas cars, but because of the weather they did not go to the track and will sit behind the wheel at the next Grand Prix.
