Finally, Alonso set fastest time for home fans !!!
Fernando Alonso set the fastest time of the 4 day at Jerez test session. Alonso set the headline time of 1:18.877 during an encouraging morning, but was consigned to the garage for much of the afternoon. He did rejoin late in the day to complete a further run but despite the quick lap Ferrari is likely to be frustrated at the lack of running after Pat Fry admitted the car is not where the team would like it to be.The Scuderia had struggled to get on top of the radical F2012 during the first three days but, with Alonso at the helm, it rose to the top of the timesheets early on in day four and was never displaced.
