WHITMARSH: McLAREN WILL BE SECOND FASTER

We need more of these situations, becouse Red Bull will secure Titles at midseason

As we said McLaren is a big team with many employees and a big budget, so they hadn`t problem to completely replace their radical new design of the exhaust with a simplified exhaust system ahead of the Australian GP.

Martin Whitmarsh expects car to be second faster due to these changes:

"I wasn`t pleased with the performance and durability of the car during test sessions. So we made some pretty dramatic changes, changes that we`ll see in Australia. There is a dose of risk, but I think it was the right thing to do and we hope that risk will make the car much more competitive in Australia. "

"We have a completely new floor and a new exhaust system. There are many other changes, but these changes will be clearly noticed by people who will watch Australia GP. I think this will still be challanging weekend, but I'm full of hope. I think that was the right decision, and would be a second faster in Australia.
