2009 VALENCIA: BARRICHELLO FASTEST IN P1

Rubens Barrichello put the Brawn team on top in the first free practice session for the European Grand Prix at Valencia.

As Brawn seeks to recover some competitive ground to its championship rival Red Bull, the Brazilian set his 1m42.460s lap with 15 minutes of the session still to go. He then looked like he was going to improve on the final moments before his car became stuck in gear.
