Formula 1 drivers would take an action to urge a shift in the start time of the 2010 races in Australia and Malaysia, and like they say even 1 hour is acceptable. They understand that there are commercial reasons for running the races so late, but safety always has to come first.
Australia was very difficult because of the low sun, and was hard to see into Turn 1 and the pit lane exit line. While in Malaysia problem was the fading light.
But Ecclestone so far remains adamant that things do not need to change. He want to keep this start time because of Europian television audience. Bernie said: "I don't see anything wrong with the start time, we just didn't know about the rain. If we had started at 2pm then it would have rained as well."
GPDA will also write to Ecclestone to ask if he will consider shifting the start time so as to alleviate safety concerns for 2010.
We`ll see what future will bring…
