Silverstone circuit was the venue as Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon pulled back the covers to reveal the team’s dynamic new look including an updated livery and expanded partner portfolio. The VJM10’s new aerodynamic package is guaranteed to get heads turning, while the silver and orange livery retains the team’s traditional colours with a fresh twist. Branding from Johnnie Walker appears on the rear wing and top of chassis marking the start of a partnership with the whisky brand. Telecommunications brands Claro, Telcel and Infinitum continue their partnerships for a fourth season, while NEC branding remains on the engine cover.

RENAULT R.S.17 - A "CLEAN SHEET OF PAPER" APPROACH

After Williams and Sauber revealed images of their respective new challengers, Renault have become the first team to physically unveil their 2017 contender at a glittering launch event in central London. Retaining the distinctive yellow and black livery which returned to F1 last year, the French manufacturer-owned team are eyeing a significant leap in competitiveness - with a fifth-placed finish the stated 2017 target.

SAUBER C36 – THE ANNIVERSARY CAR FOR THE NEW ERA


In Jörg Zander a new technical director arrived at the high-tech factory in Hinwil in January 2017. The first thing he had to do was to get an overview of the technical prerequisites and to familiarise himself with both the new and the old conditions – which he soon managed to do because he felt comfortable from day one. Jörg Zander is a familiar face, returning to the Swiss team after having worked there from 2006 to 2007 as chief designer for the BMW Sauber F1 Team.

WMSC APPROVES SALE OF FORMULA ONE TO LIBERTY MEDIA

The World Motor Sport Council has unanimously approved the change of control of Delta Topco Limited (the holding company of the Formula One Group and thus the owner of the Commercial Rights of the FIA Formula One World Championship) from CVC Capital Partners in favour of Liberty Media Corporation at an extraordinary meeting today in Geneva.

OFFICIALLY: PADDY LOWE LEAVES MERCEDES AMG

Following three and a half very successful years, Paddy Lowe will be leaving Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport. He has now begun a period of garden leave. In the short term, technical organisation will continue to operate under the proven and established leadership of our senior directors Aldo Costa (Engineering Director), Mark Ellis (Performance Director), Rob Thomas (Chief Operating Officer) and Geoff Willis (Technology Director).

2016 ABU DHABI GP: FRIDAY IN HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES


2016 ABU DHABI GP: HAMILTON WINS RACE, ROSBERG WINS CHAMPION TROPHY

Nico Rosberg was crowned 2016 Formula One World Champion as he finished second behind team-mate and title rival Lewis Hamilton at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel was third for Ferrari. Hamilton took the win he needed in the race but despite a hugely tense finish in which the leading Mercedes drivers were hunted down Sebastian Vettel, Rosberg clung on to second to win the title by just five points.

2016 ABU DHABI GP: HAMILTON ON POLE, NEEDS HELP FOR TITLE

Lewis Hamilton will start tomorrow’s title-deciding Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from pole position after beating championship rival Nico Rosberg in qualifying by three tenths of a second. The drivers standings leader will start second ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.
